Snow White
Written by Marjorie Sokoloff // Skidmore College October 2019
“Mirror, Mirror on the wall, why am I asking you at all?”
Unlike the original Brothers Grimm tale, this Snow White’s road to happily-ever-after cannot be solved with true love’s kiss. This five person cast must navigate treacherous waters, enchanted forests, and a narrator’s stage directions to find their ending. Dwarves, sassy mirrors, dancing chickens, and princesses alike must question their society’s values of beauty and consent while also overcoming the feeling of loneliness. Will they make it through the stormy weather? Or will the evil queen continue to reign on their parade?
